About Isle of Wight Theatres and Entertainment

The Isle of Wight has many theatres, especially considering the size of the island. At Newport there is the Apollo Theatre and Quay Arts Centre. Larger venues on the island include the Medina and Ryde theatres.

The Shanklin Theatre puts on productions during the summer months, but other theatres including the 400-seat Winter Gardens at Ventnor put on productions throughout the year.

There are some nightclubs on the Isle of Wight that provide entertainment into the early hours of the morning. Two of the best clubs are Temptation, at Newport, and The Balcony, in Ryde. Other forms of entertainment can be found near the various tourist attractions dotted around the island.
